Few pics for the update. Didnt feel like shooting any. Im sick but did get some work in.
Finally got another tank for my MIG and finished all the welding on the passenger mount this morning.
Sooo glad that is behind me.
At this point I will POR and paint the mount area and the motor can go back in. Been hoping for a decently warm day to paint my tranny but it hasnt come. May have to paint in the basement this week.
Really just need to paint that stuff and finish my hydro clutch stuff and the motor will go in and stay in.
Although Ill be out of town for awhile soon, Ill have some big chunks of time of before that to get a lot done.
So mount is done. Should have taken this before rouging it up. Glare is weird. Anyway...im happy with it overall.
Sorry the pic is dark. I had uploaded it already before I realized I didnt brighten it at all.
Many props to Eastwood and their kick ass welder. I have little welding experience but this thing has made things SO easy. Its been way more powerful than I needed even with this thick plate.
A killer price and a great machine if youre in the market for a gas mig. Easily competes with or out does welders costing a lot more. Do some looking into them.
I can take a pic but Ive already undercoated it and all. If youve seen saddest's pic in his thread is about like this...
Welder is 110v.
Plan is to complete my hydro clutch stuff tomorrow if possible. Not sure i have the right sized hole saw for the firewall.
I bought a previously-used set up from someone on here and neither he or I realized I wouldnt be able to use the pedal. His car was a US rabbit and mine is German and so the clutch pedal cluster is a bit different. The shaft that the pedal rotates on is a different size on German clusters.
Not a huge deal since I have his to copy. I can lay my pedal next to his and do it exactly the same way.
That being said, anyone wanna buy a US rabbit clutch pedal thats been modded for a hydraulic clutch?
