RESULTS ARE IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

510 WHP ON 20PSI PUMP GAS AND METH.

Dom didnt push it to the max because of the trans but you can bet il be back next year with a 6 speed and a bigger MAP sensor!!!

Picking it up thursday morning!

Thanks Garris, I'm seriously blown away by how little boost was required to make that power.

The MPS boys have done a stellar job.

So I got to drive the car for the first time today and wow. The power comes in so smooth and the torque is so strong that your just flying along in no time. Loving it so far!

I will put up some pics and videos soon. Been cruising around most of the day and hanging with the guys from MPS.

It's going to be an awesome weekend!

I floored the car in 1st up to 7500rpm once today, all I can say is holy ****

I got to go for a spin in the V it was rather punchy! Lol.

Had a great weekend with all the MPS crew, Dom even put my brother and I up for a night at his place. I can't express how great everyone was and it is surely a trip I will never forget.

WCSS was awesome (no mentions of my hangover) lol. So really amazing cars there and 2 MPS cars won there categories. Sadly didn't win anything myself but plenty more shows to come!

The car has been a blast to drive, did run into 2 snags though, I have to run my pump gas only map because the stupid wiring harness on my AEM meth gauge has a faulty pin. So with it cutting in and out I don't want to risk no meth at 7.5k I decided to stay with 475whp till the new harness arrives.

Also in 4th gear my clutch started slipping, so I am going to order an ACT 6 puck clutch ASAP.

Really though these are pretty minor details and the car still feels damn rapid. In fact it's deceivingly fast due to its smoothness. It's not a huge punch, just ever increasing torque that doesn't seem to end

Yeah that's the setup I'm shooting for, it sucks in a way cos I love my 5 speed, especially with taller gears! 130 kms per hour in 2nd!

This thing really is a monster even on 475whp

8-27-2012

Well I won't need that new clutch as I think my trans may have issues now lol. Cannot say I'm surprised after feeling how fast this car really is, either that or I have broken my trans mount. Il have to get it up in the air tomorrow and take a look.

It's a little odd though as I only get a vibration when the gas is applied, car shifts smoothly, no grinding etc.

Looks like the 04/05 6 speed is on the horizon!

9-1-2012

Well, um..............

This came out of the drain plug and after a little inspection here is what happened..........

Obviously I am not suprised this has happened, Im a little surprised the failure was not in the actual 1-5 gears though. Now I want to mention that I never launched the car or shifted harshly / mis shifted. The trans simply could not take the torque.

So the plan is............... fix the 5MT and sell it as rebuilt. Then I will be doing the 6MT swap as suggested by monkiboy using the 05sti transmission and various other parts lol

The XT-SS is the 6 puck and heavy pressure place combo correct?

Hey Dom don't you have a spare 6 speed laying around?
