So had all the timing checked out by a very experienced Subaru tech and I did it correctly . Sounds silly but he is a friend so thought may as well get it checked and not destroy my valves.

The car is now going to be e-tuned by Phatron from Phatbotti tuning. Due to my remote location (about 9 hours from the closest AWD dyno) it seems like the sensible option and people have reccomended his services to me more than once.

So, oil line is being ordered, also getting an AEM UEGO and logging cable as Phatron suggested. Should not be long now till be turn it over for the first time!

Oh and I am also replacing all my turbo banjo bolts for new ones at my Subaru techs advice. He said any crap in the filter and its bye bye motor!!

After reading the RAW Axis thread, this shortblock worries me... lets hope I didnt blow my savings for nothing

ordered up a grimmspeed ebcs, blouch oil line and various other goodies, the build is almost done!!

i also need to install a AEM UEGO wideband.

Where is the best place for the sensor? Does it have to be in the downpipe? My uppipe has a seperate bung already in it.

Thanks,

do they come provided with the thread to weld to the pipe??

After talking to Phatron I am going to be using a Grimmspeed EBCS in conjunction with a Hallman Pro RX BCS as described in ride5000's thread.

It allows rock solid boost control / adjustment and allows the overboost fuel cut to still be utilised.... should be interesting!

So little update, received my Grimmspeed EBCS, very nice little unit, the rest of the parts should be here by the end of the week, fingers crossed!

Also had to make some modifications to the way my homemade turbo inlet meets up to the 3" face of the turbo. We were a little concerned that there is too much pipe between the two and it could collaps. After some metal working and lots of swearing we got it to fit great.

So after that we removed it ready for the new oil line to arrive from Blouch....

Also a friend just ordered an awesome fender roller which il be renting of him for about $50. There will be some work needed before the car can go over speed bumps thats for sure!

below are some high res pics showing the issue im having with the oil line.....

The stock line is similar to the sti style line which is one solid one, but on Blouch's website it shows a different style end for wrx's. I am quite confused, I also have the sti oil feed line and it does not screw onto the wrx oil nipple, it is too small.

this is the wrx style line........

Im going to keep posting away even though no responses lol...

had a few mins to adjust my suspension with my brother this evening, not great pics but you guys get the idea....
