I haven't found a down side yet.

my hoses are a little unsightly for now, but they will be changed later on. I was going to go ahead and have lines made but the cost was prohibitive right now since I wanted to get this done on the cheap asap.

the upside is the car stops like a champ with minimal pressure on the peddle but not so easy that you can't control it.

If I would have researched this a little more when I built the car I would have started with this set up.

this is an easy and fairly cheap upgrade if you are ok with the ugly hoses. then you can go back and replace those later (for about another 200)

my plan is to have new lines made that will run into the fender well between the inner fender and the outer toward the front of the car and then back toward the steering box behind the head light that way you don't see much of the lines at all.

As some of you already know, the GTO spun a rod bearing leaving the power tour this year....

plans kept changing and I was going up and down and this way and that way....
I wanted to build a short block so the car wasn't stuck at John's house very long but just couldn't find everything for a decent price
This stuff is a 4" crank, 6.125 rods and 3.898 pistons... (that's the kicker)
so this is going to end up being a 382ci 6.26liter meaning I'm taking a 5.3 and boring it out to a stock 5.7 bore
this way I can take my short block and fix it correctly this time and then have it as a spare/next project/ or sell it
I've been ready for a change so this is deff a change... should run good too

Well change is coming
