here's some pics of my rear diffuser. got some recommendations from chad at cbrd and this is what i end up with. i wanted quick release at first but the mounting design was too complicated. i wanted to get it done quick. maybe i'll redesign and make another one that's quick release later. this one removes pretty quick, just 5 bolts in about 2 minutes. putting it back on takes about 5 minutes. this is just in case i need to remove it to get the car on and off the trailer, or use the rear tow hook to strap down for dyno. i can probably also use the rear T-hooks to strap the car down for dyno but haven't tried that yet. my first track event will be next weekend at VIR. i'll try testing with lowest wing settings. maybe even take the wing off the see how the car does without the rear wing. i still have my old front splitter, but i'm planning on making a larger one, so i'm sure ill need the rear wing back on for that.
used foam board to get some proximate dimensions and clearance.
originally was going to have the diffuser hang under the exhaust which means it will be lower than the control arms. but then i moved it up, about level with the fuel tank, because i didn't want it to catch too much air.
i was able to use an tank roller at my friends shop. took us several tires. but we were able to get a nice bend on it afterward.
