right, been out to do some more and i think im going to redo some bits (a lot)

rear heel board is worse than i thought, so im just going to replace the whole thing with a heritage panel, whilst putting some extra weld on the captive nuts. im also going to redo the boot floor as its made from 1.5mm steel which is too think for my liking. also a drivers rear wheel arch.

once that is done i need to figure out my problem with the passenger door and rebuild that as the doors rotten. then onto the drivers side which needs new outer sills and door step and the door reskinnign aswell.

then its onto the front end hopefully.

my dad keep arguing with me to get the car done but i want it done right so if i have to redo things and take longer then a will, else ill only be blaming him when im not happy with it once its on the road.

yeah theres quite a bit left, which is annoying really, makes me wonder what ive actually done haha.

the door just doesnt sit right AT ALL, but i know thats mostly to do with me cutting the bottom corner out. it can be fixed but its going to take a long time. i have to fix the bottom of the door frame first anyway as thats rusted through. it seams to have been fixed with sealent! :( i just wish i had a garage to work in so i can be out there for more than 3-4 hours at a time

so ive finally got back to work again, sadly no photos as to be honest. ive been more concerned with actually getting work done for a change.

ive been working more on the passenger door step repair which if half done now so i will finish that off tomorrow, once the passenger side is done i can start on the drivers side. im going to be replacing the whole heelboard and remaking my boot floor as im not happy with it.

managed to finish off the back half of the door step (with rear quarter repair) i will add the front bit in once ive made up the bottom of the a post.

also put the front end on to see how badly it fitted and i wasnt surprised at all! its aweful, so its going to be made into something else and ill buy heritage panels to makemy flip front from.

here are some photos :)

i am quite bored, but because i have the shell in the back garden i cant get it rolling untill al the weldings finished. it took us 8 people to get the shell round the side of the house when there was hardly any floor and no roll cage. so i can see it being a struggle to get it back to the driveway.

the front subframe is built without the hubs and the rear subframe i have to heavily modify for coilovers anyway.

i start an apprenticeship with hyundai on monday so money should be coming in for much needed parts (Y)

now to do the opposite side and sill. once this is done i just have to finish a few bits on the floor and i will hopefulyl be able to get the interior painted and finished.
then the dreaded full heelboard :( but ive decided to redo my boot floor at the same time as this because im not really happy with how its come out

cheers chris :D

plans for the boot are pretty similiar really, ive decide to use coilovers on the rear (will upgrade front eventually) which means i can cut even more of my subframe up :D but i want to keep the subframe rubebr mounted so ill be making a tubular section for it so i can make some rear mounts. this means that i no longer need to ugly recesses in the boot floor so im going to make it perfectly flat but with a recess for the tank (almost like your pro-motive build you have down there) so i can turret the arches at the same time and i might even lock the roll cage into the turrets
