Well the big move happened today borrowed a trailer and took the mini to its new house but pissed off though as I forgot how low the mini was so when I winched it up, the Ramos took half the paint off the bottom so looks like I'll be painting again
I overcame the problem by keeping the Ramps level with trailer until the mini was on the last bit then got my weetabix strength on and lifted the car up while the wife moved the ramp supports out. Got to say I nearly shat myself straining so hard, loaded the car up with tools and garage crap
And home nice double length garage to fill up with cack
Not been doing any actual work on the car but plenty of this
All plastered now just waiting for it to go off and that's that room done biting I know but **** happens when you buy a house lol

Well had a good day in the garage today got the radiator in and the gear change sorted
And this is my clearance to the front end
I need to put a bend in the selecter rod as it touches the body. I modified parts if the steering column I don't need
Just the steady bar to make and see if I can get all the gears

A few bits I've done over the last couple of days
Got the linkage all done and got all five gears first time!!
CLICK FOR VIDEO!
And made the manifold smaller and closer to the block so it fits under the front with a little trimming
The line on my front is the grille line so I've still git some clearance lol

So wasn't happy at all with the gear linkage and how low it sat so changed it today
Nice straight run to the uj
It sits on the normal rubber bushes and mount just upside down and round the other way. Also made the stabiliser bracket this will also mount in rubber bushes the same as the mini engine steady so easy to replace
That's all for now

So well over a month since I've even looked at the mini life is getting in the way. had 2 new staircases fitted moved the bathroom upstairs added another two rooms to my house and last of all had this arrive
So the mini has slipped to the back of the growing list but I'll get back to it and it's not going anywhere

So it's been a while but back on it although I don't get much time it's still progress
Pulled the engine out today do it can be cleaned and I made a bulkhead box where all my fuel lines and brake lines can enter the engine bay just need to weld it in I'm also going to weld up all the small holes
And also the round nose front is gone in favour if this
More to come soon

Little more done I've fully welded in the bulkhead box and all the other little holes I don't need then started on the body work filling sanding filling sanding over and over again also got the engine out and cleaned it up came up well
So far I've got the scuttle drivers a panel and rear quarter done just need this thing painted lol
Wow what a build!
