Well here we go minus some minor adjustments it's done
The first thing I encountered was the struts were too far forward to allow the boot to close so chopped the rear mount out sliced the back off then welded it back on the parcel shelf. One of my captive nuts let go too so welded it in for good
Then on with the boot lid I will be using. Not a bad fit like I say some minor tweets needed
And up it goes
And here you can see how it all mounts up and how much I've braced the hinges
And all the way up
And a video for you all. It all needs making a little smoother but all in the tweaks and smooth all the welds over

Last installment in the boot saga and it's done lock fitted and working I made this little bracket to hold the lock to the boot floor in the desired position
Then welded the little bugger to the boot floor
And this is it fully working

Just starring to get the arches ready to fit lots of grinding to do

After a much needed few days away up north in Bradford I've now Got a couple of days off work so trying to get the car ready to fit the subby so that means all bodywork getting finished. Today I cut down and cleaned off one of my donor arches then and for those that have rear over the build made a lip for the rear of the arch to boot floor and fitted the arch
Also needed a small patch on the arch
Then fitted the closing plate at the front of the arch
And I was left with this
And after many trimmings and trial fitting I'm ready to drill holes and weld the quarter on
Not got a whole day tomorrow but I should have it fitted and the arch tubbed by the end of play tomorrow
Wow what a build!
