I had the old type handbrake cable which had been spliced together and it broke straight away, so Z's sent me the new bespoke type which is all one piece and stronger. However it was a little longer so I've had to move the bracket back 3/4inch to accomodate it.
Dunno still lots to do. Just ordered my grub screws.
Still need to order an oil pressure gauge, strip out the doors and lighten them, make some perspex winows and fit them all round (fitting rear and sides with K-Nuts for easy removal), figure out what to mount the bottom of the manifold to, modify and fit rear steady bars and boot lid, finish fibreglassing aperture for rear number plate, finish and fit rear inner arches, tie in front body work to space frame (because it moves when you lean on it), modify mk1 moustache to fit, finish the dash, four wheel alignment and set up camber and toe in, make a good fittting bulkhead and finish wiring.
+ when jacking it up from the passenger side the other day the drivers side door swing open with out me realising and the door got wedged on something so as I jacked it up it ripped out the bottom door hinge so that will need fixing too!
+ Probably a million and one other things that I haven't even considered yet.

As discussed I have removed the 4 AIS fittings next to the exhaust ports and tapped the holes out to take an M10 grub screw with a bit of thread lock. To make sure no swarf got into the engine I jacked the rear of the car up to tilt the engine forwards.
The AISystem Also had a tube running to the other side of the engine under the carbs, which is now also surplus after removing the AIS, so I simply screwed in a 3.5mm machine srcew with a bit of thread lock to seal this up.
Very cool build!
