Well the time came for @camilathe68cougar to leave her home for now. Ended up going a different direction with help with a few body shops to help make sure the body and gaps align nice and tight. #sacramentoorbust I’m going to miss not being able to walk out to the garage to admire all the blood, sweat, dollas, and tears thrown at this old cat, BUT I’m super excited to see how the downhill slope of body & paint goes! I hope she holds on tight enough for the long journey out of the valley ??. For those that have had their cars at a body shop, how has the waiting game experience? I decided to paint the @bandmracing_official quick silver bezel to match the dashboard, it came out pretty good don’t ya think? So I realized I forgot to load a pic of the rear valance. So why am I showing the sides you may ask? Well, for starts these dumb things don’t fit properly. The good thing is this time around they actually matched the width, BUT it isn’t a straight line, it comes curved so I had to shape each side until it followed the contour of the rear part of the corners of the car. Secondly I drilled a few new holes to match up top that screws into the rear. The last fun part was the bottom corners go bolted in. Low and behold those section did not align so I had to spend hours cutting and cutting and welding until it lined up with the two bottom holes. Anyway, if your replacing this with repo’s just make sure to bolt it on first and make all your shaping and adjustments! This guy right here deserves a ton of credit for transforming the build during the body work stage. Let me tell you there’s been a ton of hard work being done to @camilathe68cougar as she deserves it after being on the sideline as I essentially grew up; I’m sure a lot of us can relate as well. Every stage of this build is a milestone and I cannot thank enough my body guy for his commitment to keep going as some things go wrong along the way. So far so good!
