I also painted my shorter rear boomerangs but I need the front jackstands to get the rear supported on the frame first. I also welded the bottom leg of my anti-wrap bar. No picture yet but soon enough. At this point I'm trying to get it back on all fours before I finish the anti-wrap bar. I also have been searching around for a front D44 but no luck. I found a '79 F250 in Winston-Salem but I have not asked if they'll part with the front axle only. We'll see though, I plan to buy new wheels and tires come March and get 5x5.5 wheels and adapters for future planning.

Finally got the jam nuts. Put it all back together and it rides pretty good. Definitely seems more stable with the new shocks. Steering is a little tighter also.

Tie rod.

Well I got the new rear shackles on which I don't have a picture of yet but will. I did take some pics of my traction bar build and the bracket on the axle. It's the last thing I need to do to be "finished" with the SOA. Below is a shot of the axle with the bracket on it it. Everything looks gross because of the dumb salt they put on the road during the winter storm we had.

Here's my bracket I've made thus far. I still need to mock it up, cut and weld the bottom bar to the top. The top is done with the weld in bung and heim joint.

Here's my cross member and mount. I wish I would have done something different but have not yet.

On a side note, I washed the road grime off the jeep today and I'm really in need of a paint job on the front end. The paint is wiping off with the sponge so it's coming in the next year or so. Probably stick with the hunter green. I'll try to get pics with the new rear shackles.

Finally replaced my parking brake switch. The nib on the back that kept it from moving broke off and I finally got around to replacing it.

I have the best wife. But she also prefaced the gift by saying I need to clean my $h!t up in the garage. I ordered a top part yesterday.

I went to Uwharrie National Forest Saturday and participated in a trail clean-up event. Of course I didn't take any pictures but it was a good time. Before I left I replaced the seal on my 8.8 because of a small leak. Well, it didn't leak the entire week but once I took for a 2 hour ride (at 75 mph) and doing some wheeling for the day and then coming back...it was leaking a lot worse. I must have done a poor job with the silicone.

Anyway, I bought a lube locker. It's the first one I've ever used and probably the first actual differential gasket I've bought in 7 or 8 years. I normally just do RTV but I apparently did a crappy job this time and want to make sure it's done right.

Oh, the jeep did well on the trails. I need to finish my anti-wrap bar but there was no damage after this trip. I'm waiting till March to look for 35's. I may have some extra cash from our company bonus I can use towards some new shoes.

I met a guy with a sweet Jeepster this weekend. He got his in high school like myself and it was his daily driver up until 2 years ago. He's had it for 22 years. He recently linked the rear and he's running fo-dees. I got to ride with him a bit and it was pretty awesome.
