Got the springs swapped and the bumps put in. I may need to lower them but I'll see what JF thinks. I have about 3" of up travel from the bump to the spring plate. Would that be too much inversion?

Another pic.

Overall shot.

No updates thus far but I think I have a plan for the winter. I want to get the 6 leaf stock springs from Crown and put them in the rear for SOA. I would go ahead and do it but bills are rearing their head and I've been studying for the PE exam in October. So my time and money are limited at the moment. On a different note, the new springs on the front seem more stable than the other ones I had on there. I have about 3 inches of up travel to the bumps but it should keep the drag link from hitting the frame on the pass. side.

Well, I flexed out the jeep at the local 4 Wheel Parts and checked for clearance between my frame and drag link and what do you know, there was interference. Here's some pictures of it.

I think I'm going to flip the drag link to the bottom of the knuckle to see if it will clear it up. If anyone has any other suggestion they are welcome.

The problem

It's nearly going to hit the bump stop but it's about 1/2" from it. I may drop the bump stop or flip the drag link.

The big picture.

Figured out why the compressor locked up. One of the Pistons collapsed and got misaligned.

New stuff.

Forgot to post this pic. I was taking some observations in one of our 500kV substations.

Got some goodies from my wife for our anniversary. Now my M8274 will look the part. I also got a Smittybilt winch controller that I'll change the plug in.no matter what controller I got I would need to do this so why spend $90 for a Warn?

Weather is awesome so I took a break from studying and installed my new solenoid cover and put a plug on the winch controller.

One more.

Got my waggy pitman arm in the mail yesterday. It's a little longer and less drop than the ZJ one I have on mine now. We'll see how it does.

Bought some more stuff. I got some RuffStuff spring plates which will allow me to move my front axle forward 1". I also got new u-bolts. I plan to take the front axle out, put a stock main on my front leaf packs then notch the frame to allow room for the drag link. In addition I'll be installing the waggy pitman arm to see if it raises the drag link some and gives me a better turning radius.

I'm hoping the rear adapters will help match the front. As you probably know, the 8.8 is slightly narrower than the D35.

Well I bought a few things for the jeep recently. I found out the waggy pitman arm accepts the standard 1 ton TRE's as opposed to my current setup with the pitman arm TRE being a standard Jeep one (3/4-16). So once I found that out, I bought the Ruff Stuff 1 ton standard tie rod kit to make a new drag link. I also got my spring plates in the mail. I plan to shift the axle forward and put a stock main in my front leaf packs. The new pitman arm will give me a better turning radius. I'm also wondering what length drag link to make. I have the one I had but it was fabricated by someone else and I want to make sure what I do it correct. I'm thinking about setting the TRE's in halfway and measuring with the steering wheel centered from knuckle to pitman arm and go from there.

Got my drag link kit. It's pure beef. I hope to make the drag link this weekend.

Made some progress this weekend. Got the drag link welded up and took the front springs off to add the additional main.
