little phone update.

At full bump with the high steer the TRE on my pitman arm would contact my tie rod when straight. so the solution was a flat PA. well that proved to be harder than I thought. No one would email me back about waggy arms on CL and most places wanted 50+ bucks plus a week in shipping for new ones online. so i did some searching and found custom ones... starting at 120$!!! So i decided to make one... 

Started with a peice of 3x9x3/4 plate ($8.)

Cut a hole with a 2" hole saw on one side

Measure the center to center distance of my TJ arm.

Drilled an 1-3/8 hole on the other side at that distance

Cut the slined end and the TRE end off in the chop saw.

Shapped them with a grinding disc till they were a press fit.

Indexed the splinned in and pressed em in.

Turned up kevins 220 miller and burned it in (make sure you plug the holes or spatter and get inside and its a PITA to remove... ask me how i know)

Heres the new flat PA in mid welding

Still needs to be shaped but its all good now... total investment, 8 bucks and about 3 hrs...

and here is a pic of the tracbar mount at full bump. its TIGHT!

12" rotor (under the stock tj rotor)

huge dual piston calipers


kinda slow progress tonight... late start didnt help
But got the track bar bent, just needs to be assembled. PA installed. still need to make spacers for the brakes to line up and paint everything...
