It can be done with some molding clay, I would need access to a YJ to be able to take a reverse imprint. Lots of work in making a prototype you speak of, I have a universal design in mind that I would like to manufacture as well. Pictured below is a set I made for Fledge December 2011...

Painted

And Mounted in Fledge

Thanks for the compliments! I sure enjoy mobile audio, I have been an enthusiast since I was 15 years old. lol

So I took some pics today of the seats mounted. They turned out really well and they are extremely comfortable, they hug your entire torso. There are a few things left to complete like capping the frame ends and making a manual lever so the passenger seat will flip forward. I am very stoked with how these turned out and tho it was very expensive to go this route I can say so far I'm glad I gave it a shot!

Installed!

Best picture I have of the new frame

Unfortunately I wasn't there for day two of the fabrication so I was not able to snap more photos of the install.

Mounted the FE tonight, very clean fit and doesn't protrude into the passenger, also very quick access.

Also snapped a few posers after a quick spray wash, the winter here in Tahoe is so hard on vehicles
