Got the heads on. Just want to make sure of one thing. I leave the crank in safe mode and turn the cams where the timing marks will be pointing up to put the chains on correct? For some reason I thought having it degreed it would already be "lined up" so to speak.
O ya, OOPS! it's carpet if that make it any better. That makes alot of sense though, I get it. Well I got it almost ready for the timing cover to go on but I need to grab a tap to run through the drivers head tensioner bolt holes. The Pass. side was fine but the drivers side was tight, so I'm not gonna F'em up. I'll run one through to be 100% and should have the cover and most everything else on tomorrow. Here's where I'm ending for the night:
So inside the ratcheting primary tensioners, under the spring there is a disk, anyone know which way that faces? Plastic side up towards the spring or little metal part up towards the spring? Also inside one of my plungers (where the top of the spring goes) there was a little plastic disk but not in the other? Read a thread where someone said "just make sure that disk is inside the plunger above the spring" when looking fo a diagram and it got me wondering. I had to take'em apart the were filthy and full of black burnt oil also. Just want to double check. Thanks everybody.
