DROVE THE MUSTANG HOME YESTERDAY!!!!!!! It sounded glorious. I owe it to @marlon_fly_ford for fixing my brakes up. I’ll probably do another post dedicated just to him and the issue and work he did because that man is a wizard. Anyway ? Just a random hodge podge of some stuff I did yesterday.I worked on cleaning up the interior a bit, removed the seats and put in some sound deadening material from @drakeautogroup / @mustangsetc . Also added some new mirrors on the mustang ⭐️ cannot believe this baby is driving. I do have a small electrical shorting issue I have to figure out (something with the hazard light circuit which leaves the engine running ?but this is finally feeling like an actual car and less like a hunk of metal. If you have insight on my electrical short let me know!

Well, if my new neighbors didn’t know me before I cranked the engine they sure as shit do now. This thing is monstrously loud and I am both terrified of it and love it all at once. In honor of this momentous day and a year of hard work I thought I’d do a part 2 of things “no one tells you when starting a project car build.”
- most of the aftermarket hoses you buy are too long or too short.
- you’ll learn mechanic math real quick. Ask me what 7/16th was a year ago and I would’ve blinked at ya.
- invest in a sandblasting box so you don’t do what I did and spend 2 hours wire wheeling a small piece of metal
- get a @fendergripper
- whatever you think it’s gonna cost, add 20%
- if you keep adding things to your @cjponyparts wishlist you will go broke ?
- that one person on that forum thread who is having the *same* issue you are hasn’t updated the thread since 2009 and probably didn’t post the solution. Try reaching out anyway.
- you’ll meet and talk to really cool people from all over the world ?
Ok I’m lame , thanks for reading . Drop what you’d add below ???

Nice work! Thankfully the body looked in decent shape to start with, lots of these are pretty rusty at least around here. Inspiring me to get a Mustang of my own!
