This video explains the process of replacing worn front brake pads and rotors on a 2nd gen Mercury Mariner or Ford Escape. The exact car being worked on is a 2010 Mercury Mariner with the 4cyl engine, but this video should apply to any model within the 2nd generation. I do not take responsibility for any damage you may do to your car. This is meant as a guide for people that already have basic automotive knowledge and maintenance.

Replacing the front pads and rotors is not a difficult process and requires only a few tools, with no expensive specialty tools required. I inspected the rear drums, but they were not worn enough to require replacement at the time.
