Took some pics of my tranny shifter. I originally cut the pinion off at the splines and tapped that but it was too heavy. So I cut it off flush with the head and tapped a hole in the center. Then I took a 3/8" bit and drilled some relief holes up through the bottom to take some more weight off.....its from a 3.07 HP D30 and it fits my hand like a glove! Perfect!

I also put a lock washer and a nut under the "shifter" so that I could lock it down where I wanted it at.

BTW-i also got the D35 done and installed too. I put a Trutrac, Alloy USA Chromo shafts, and Superior 4.88's in. While I had it apart I also put another Trac Bar in that had good bushings(the sleeve seperated from the bushing on the frame side of my old one).

I still need to wire up part of the e-locker and put my DieHard Platinum in. Got to build a batterytray sometime too...

I really need to get/build a rear bumper. I have no where to stick anything large and cant even haul my 4x6 trailer. I guess I could have put the hitch-haul(that I bent up really BAD this spring in turkey season) in the front bumper but I didnt. Last year i put all the deer on the spare tireand strapped em down but this little 6 point was too HEAVY to do that with. Little antlers~BIG BODY!

Im thinking of cutting out the center of the rear crossmember and building a winch bumper with a reciever hitch for the rear. I'm still in the "thought stage" of that though....

Going to go pick up 2 more Np435's next weekend too(I'll have 3 then) and a 23 spline Np231 out of a cherokee(free after I help DEST swap the Np242 into the Xj). Going to combine the 3 trannies to make one good one and swap it into my Tj come spring/early summer. Still on the fence about what transfer case to use though(dana 300, Early Bronco Dana 20, the 23 spline 231,???).....or if I should add some kind of doubler/Black box/box for rocks....I dont really want to push the rear axle back yet and the added length of the reduction "box" may force me to have too.....

IDK spring, AKA Tax Returns!!!, is still a few months off yet....

Im looking for an external slave cylinder ax 5 bellhousing for mock up. If anybody's got one post up here and I'll take it off your hands...
