The dead spot... when you turn the wheel then change direction of the wheel and get a small bit of play in the steering. Nothing really too concerning but enough that it's noticed. Lifted SWB rigs already tend to drift back and forth in the lane but then the steering has a sort of slop spot where the wheel starts to turn over when changing the direction of the steering wheel. Most probably wouldn't notice it because my rig drives fairly well but I do notice it especially when I take her for a long road trip. Any ideas on how to eliminate the "slack" please let me know, I'm all ears.

I don't know, I have had several shops (two of which are very well regarded in the 4WD community) look into the issue and they all say the same thing... that it's just part of the steering setup on Jeeps and there is nothing I can really do without changing the complete steering setup. Recently had the joints and all looked over and everything is well maintained and seemingly working properly (very recently what I was just told by a Tires Plus when I got my steering alignment). If it turns out there is something that can be tightened or fixed I will not be too happy with my shop down in Sac., sometimes it's not as simple as explaining a problem to a shop and them actually fixing or correcting the issue. Very frustrating.
As for the rig.. she's down in Reno getting a Line X job, should be available for pickup later today.
My Springtail bags showed up, can't wait to get everything installed including my MPAC rack.
More pics to come.
Cool Jeep !
