More axle work. Got the hubs together and welded the tie rod and one end of the drag link.

Chipping away at the axle. Got the brakes on. Just need to seal the diff cover, put gear oil in and swap it out with the D30. I need to measure and build the drag link but that will be quick and easy.

Let's see how this goes over.

I traded the Taco for a new Gladiator. They gave me a trade in value I could not refuse. It was more than I paid for it about a year ago.

Getting closer.

Thank you good sir. I'm to the point where I need to cut all the u-bolts and make the draglink. Since I have been wrenching after 8pm, I'll have to wait till the weekend.

Mocking up the drag link.

Got the drag link on and tightened up. I think my shocks are too short...have to check.

Starting her early. Apparently, the Ox locker design changed at some point. I should have googled it before taking it a part. But I like the new design better.

I started filling the D44 with leftover 75W-90 gear oil but didn’t have enough. I just need to get another bottle then bolt the shocks and then do a poor mans alignment and test drive.

Well maybe. I went to get a new battery for the Jeep at Autozone. It tested bad as I knew it would but I had them check my wife’s car since I was driving it...sure enough, it was bad. Instead of buying (2) batteries that day, I just got one. I’ll get one for the jeep when it’s rolling but may use it for test drives. I charged it up and let it sit in the shop for a few days. I put a voltmeter on it and only 10.60 volts. Must have a bad cell.

Dang. Well, we'll see how it goes with the Everstart. Jeep runs like a champ right now:

Test ride went well tonight.

I need to get on it.
