I hate mud.

I bought Spicer ball joints.

I guess I’ll just go Autozone for pads. If I can’t get the rotors turned I’ll need more of those too...

It was indeed. Now for some recap of maintenance.

After washing the Jeep I was rotating tires only to learn my ball joints are worn. So I ordered new Spicers and rotors and pads since they too were worn and grooved. Remembered my drivers side ball joints used to be tacked in because the last set I installed were wrong.

So, I tacked the new ones in and plan to start axle hunting for the front.

Got everything back together just to figure out my pass side unit hub bearing has play...I'm just going to leave it until I find an axle...

I think I made out like a bandit yesterday. Here is a picture of what I brought home. I'll snap more and give specs later.

Let me start to show my axle build. I started taking it apart and found out from the old owner it has Wagoneer outer knuckles, hubs, spindles, and caliper bracket. Which translates into the "big bearing" style spindle and hubs which won't work for my Ford bolt pattern I want.

So, I found some '78 Bronco outer parts. The guy I got them from had the opposite problem of me. He had Ford parts and needed Chevy. He said they were brand new when he got them...them let them get wet. But for $50 I couldn't beat it.

Here are the Bronco parts. They need some cleaning but all of them are new, even if the bearings...if it doesn't look like it.

I still need the Ford stub shafts, which sucks because the ones I have are chromoly. If anyone has some laying around, let me know.
