Well I need to rebuild my Warn M8000 winch. This past weekend I'm pretty sure I burned it up. It started to smoke and stopped pulling. After it cooled it worked again but I have no idea how it will go under load.

When I cracked it open it looked pretty bad. I've already ordered some replacement parts like gaskets, drum bushings, thrust washer, aluminum tie rods and a decal. I had to take the bumper off first to get to it though.

I'm planning on cleaning up the motor with brake cleaner and degreasing everything.
