SANDBLASTEDDDD!!! during this process discovered that this mustang had been painted at least 5x with all sorts of colors, ranging from a dark blue to red, to teal, to gray. stripped it as much as possible to bare metal, and coated it with primer next. The original paint code was A (dark moss green) so i decided moving forward, this baby would go OG. .
Tools needed ?: sandblaster (rented from Home Depot,) glass beads, aluminum oxide, face mask/shield, gloves, tarp, and clothes you don’t care about trashing after. .

After sandblasting was finished, POR rust protectant was applied. This stuff is sticky , like stay-on-your-skin-for-weeks sticky. Definitely need to use coveralls when applying this! It’s perfect after sandblasting to create that nice clean and even surface, perfect for paint prep. .
1st. Use rust protection POR paint in areas that are critical and tend to attract rust. Por 15.
Tools used?: cheap air spray gun for por, air compressor. #sandblasting#sandblast #mustang#vintagemustang #vintagecar #fordmustang #1967mustang #1967 #carrestoration #projectcar #chassis #primer #paint #carpaint #carpainting #por15

Nice work! Thankfully the body looked in decent shape to start with, lots of these are pretty rusty at least around here. Inspiring me to get a Mustang of my own!
