bit of paint on the inner wing and rear arches, a few closing panels left to do on the back then i can start building my rear subframe! just waiting on some CDS tube now then i can start

nothing too special today unfortunatly.

ive got my rosejoints through to start making my brace bars once the subframes in and i have some tube.

the clever among you may have noticed that i have two R/H thread rose joints and two L/H thread rose joints. this is to allow me to adjust them slightly to get the right tension i want.
ive also fitted with some missalignment spacers so that i can put a bend in the tube to allow for a standard radiator.

only a small update as ive been busy this weekend.

went off to wheels day on friday and turned out to be a great day! some amazing cars over there to take insiration from.

swapped the M10 hex heads for some M10 cap head bolts for the brace bars just for looks

been cleaning all the rear brake components today so i can rebuild them tomorrow and fit them to an old set of radius arms for a test fit

not done alot this weekend due to the aweful weather!

i did manage to get my rear brakes all built up apart from the hubs which ill be putting new bearings into.

Posted Image

all i can say is that BL should have used bolt in wheel cylinders! those clips are a right pain!!!

4-10-2012

i can only imagine, although i was trying not to scatch the table underneath the paper!

got one radius arm built up today, its not the final arm ill be using as im going for a refurbed set with the knuckle pot machined off and also may be going for a set of alloy hubs.

ill get the other side built up tomorrow then hopefully build up the rear subframe for mocking up the tubular sections this weekend

4-11-2012

ill be keeping a look out for your updates then! it seems are builds are fairly similiar besides the engine choice so would be good to compare the two.

had a hiccup with tyres today, one got destroyed whilst putting it on, which is quite annoying but cant be helped.

but ive now got the tyres on and put them on the front subframe.

the wheels are yet to be split but i need to get the car rolling first so ill just remove the tyres when i send them off to be split.
