Sorry dude no rock your lucky to find food in France let alone rock lol

Well back from holls late this evening and as the wife was doing the washing (propa wife)
I popped to the neighbours who took delivery of my latest bargain £100 plus £35 postage off a 16v member

Then a little play time with the mini got the rear panel bit re clamped tacked and mostly welded in

The seam nearest the boot in the drivers side is slightly sunken so a little level with filler will be needed but the lifts and boot still fits good so I'm happy with it

Not so bad on the other side a little hammer work should fix that

Hopefully should get it finished and cleaned of tomorrow so more to come

VERY VERY happy with today's work!!!! After welding on the rear panel yesterday and being left with a bad panel line up I was not happy at all so got the hammers out cut the parts preventing it from straightening and smoothed out the panel line re-welded and ground down finished off with 80g sand paper here's the results

Outer part

Inner boot seal area

The overall view

And the new rear panel line and if I do say so myself my best work to date

Passengers side tomorrow it's been cut and smoothed off just needs welding and dressing down

Another productive day in the cave today got the other side straightened out and welded then dressed down a little too heavy this time on the grinder it slipped a couple of times so small amount of filler work on this side pictures as always

And the main part is it looks like it should and the lights fit perfect sealing perfectly around the curve of the rear panel so well pleased

I then set about starting the lower part and bumper lip so started by chopping more off

null_zpsf71657d4.jpg

And then trimmed back to the boot lip and light housing to give a good weld on a curve which I find easy make good so the best chance of making it a nice blend

That's all for today more tomorrow and Friday
