After a bit of searching I managed to find a place in Inverness that sells fake leather material and spongy stuff as padding. So when I got it home I stapled the spongy stuff to the dash.
I cut out the rough shape of the holes and then stapled the fake leather to one edge.
Then it was a slow job to stretch it over the dash and go mad with the stapler..
Once turned over this is how it looked.
I then used a sharp stanley blade to slit the covering, Jammed in the gauges and head unit holder and fixed them in place. Abit of spagetti wireing and a test battery.
Ta Da!!!! One dash ready to fit...
I am well pleased with how it turned out. Looks good and has a nice soft feel.
Nice details!
