Ive painted the bell housing and copper eased the plunger. Then I fitted it to the engine.
Also the Head has arrived. Its been away getting ported and polished. I was buying a MED rally spec head off a mate because he was going the 7 port route. Well thats all fallen through So I sent my 12g940 to get sorted. This is how it looks now.
Skimmed, ported, polished and all the valve gear fitted.
The chambers were ground back a wee bit to get rid of most of the rough casting marks.
The ports are now as big as can be done. They had to sleave the push rod guides to get the maximum size. The pics dont really show how much work has been done inside the ports, but ive had my fingers in there and they are smooooooooth. Also the exhaust ports were widened to match the LCB manifold and then polished.
The last pic is the new rocker cover. Mmmmmm blue.
Hope it all works well. Might of been better just buying a prebuilt engine. This is now a very expensive build. (£1900) so far.
Nice details!
