Well after a fair bit of mucking about, my central locking is in place.
I bought a kit from W&P, which was of exceptional quality, but really shouldn't of bothered with it.
Due to my doors being cut down, I had to alter where i fixed the motors and therefore cut down the vertical actuating arm and use trial and error to get the pivot points right. So basically start from scratch. The motors are for sale in my local ice shop, so wouldn,t be hard to make a kit up. We're gonna do one for my mates XE conversion clubby that's in progress at the mo.
Plus getting a hole to pass the wires through into the door was a nightmare because in a minus there is a big chunk of box section steel in the door pillars to hang the hinges off.
I laid a power cable by-passing the cut-off switch and it has a fuse near the battery. This is fed to a split terminal under the dash with a fuse for each. The other one will be the permanent live for the alarm, immob.
this way i can retain the battery cut off for starting car and have alarm/immob too!
WIll combine alarm with CDL and have totally keyless entry.
works great and my girlfriend will love her new instant acces to the passenger side door

Bought a timing light and engine is running really sweet now. I changed my earth's around and it is sweet, but can't get my brand new Lumention optronic kit to work (the one with the finned box). I set it up very carefully, but can't get a spark.
Bloody fibrefglass cars who'd have em!
Roll cage is on the agenda now.
Curently the front of my cage is attached to the rear using these:
A cross member also attaches to the two front sections just above the windscreen. It is attached using a pair of the same things. Three bolts go through the holes in the bracket, right through the tubes and as you tighten them it clamps on to the other tube that passes through the round end.
I have got some more suitable tube for free and want to make up door bars, a rear cross member and a front cross member that goes parrallel to the bottom dash rail under my Carbon dash.
These brackets/clamps/thingys must be from something like stage scaffolding, temporary fencing or garden climbing frame or swing structure or something? I have been scouring the world but can't see anything suitable.
Does anyone know what or where they are from?
or
Does anyone know where I can get something that will do the same job?
The diammeter of the tube is about 2inches

New Anthracite Minilites. 13x7 with Yoko A539.
Look lovely...
...but when fitting them in a hurry, my mate, who is now known as 'p1ss flap w@nk face' placed the jack precariously and it slipped. He trapped his hand between the un fixed near side wheel and the wheel arch Luckily (I suppose) it cracked my wheel arch and didn't do any permanent damage to his hand.
However, it cracked the paint on that perfectly blended arch and the jack has done some serious jiggery pokery.
The front wheels now don't sit inline. I think the subframe may be bent but I will investigate!
Very cool build!
