As usual with this bloody car. Progress is one step forward, two steps back!

I took this fan off the rad on the old 1330, in perfect working order.
Spent ages on thursday doing a really good job making a mounting bracket out of aluminium, so that I didn't have to attach the fan through the fins of my horny new 4 core alloy rad.

Even though the end result doesn't look too thrilling, getting the hole cut in the aluminium to match the odd contours on the opposite side of the fan wasn't easy.
...and getting the holes drilled in the car with no space under wings or in bay, without removing engine and rad, was close to impossible!

excuse the lack of photo's because the site doesn't seem to load up at the mo.

Once I got it fitted and bolted up, I plugged it in and did it work...
...did it fcuk

Circuit tester showed that pos was fine but earth wasn't, However when earthed seperately it made a circuit through the fan, but fan still didn't work!
Typical

Car is still a non runner too! Please see my ignition post in tech section. Any advice would be much appreciated.

this is fan and bracket

The hole in the aluminium was really tricky because the fixing holes to be drilled were very close to the edge of the hole. I could not make the hole any smaller because it would've fouled the fan.

This is it fitted. Will have to remove it though, to see if I can get the fan to work again

New heated front screen with top tint is fitted.

It's got a rear view mirror boss but I think it might sit a little low for my car.

I like the chrome trim compared to the black too.

oops forgot the pic
