Well, I have had a slight delay. I've started to attempt to weld with Argoshield because it is the cheapest option, However, The big bottle it comes in is a little top heavy and it keeps getting knocked over. Which broke the nozzle on my regulator. Anyway I bought a new nozzle and have made a welding trolley to secure the bottle to whilst still being a bit portable.

Which was also good practice as I haven't welded for a little while and only ever with no gas or just CO2. So I then, put the dash bar and clamps in and made sure it was all level.

Then I used some fire blankets I bought cheap off ebay to cover the inside of the car and spot welded the bar in place along with brackets I had made for the steering coloumn mount.

I then removed the bar and welded it up properly outside away from the car. It needs a little cleaning up but is nearly ready to be sent off for powder coat.

Tried to trial fit my dash and immediately realised that the glove box won't fit unless I cut out a massive chunk of upper and lower dash rail. Also it needed modifying so it would fit over the new dash bar (which has been sent out for powder coating). So I ripped off the glove box bin.

Cut some sections of dash out to accommodate the dash bar and have started to graft the glove box door into the apperture for the glove box. I intend evntually to have this looking flush.

I have also finished the base for my rear number plate recess.
