Finally got some decent weather today and my Dad got back from a week away so that meant i could crack on with more.
The new EBC pads arrived so we got the breaks bled and working.
We also fitted the lower bump stop, the ride height is now a little lower
Probably shouldn't be splashing money around but when i saw these i had to have them -
Thats also a, AAA ( Stage 1 ) needle in there ready to be fitted.

Heres the update.
Now all the mechanicals are finished most of the coming updates will all be body and paint related.
We got the breaks properly bled so i put the driver seat in so i could take her for a drive -
One thing i have noticed is that the car is sitting very high but i guess thats just the new cones -
Nice view of all the new parts -
Got the radiator down to the brass to make the bay look even better -
Took the sun roof out to find no rust -
One thing i did find though was that the roof lost all its rigidity and as i didnt want to bend it, I did this -
Near side back corner getting there -
Offside back corner filered -
Rubbing down the rear ( Gigidy ) -
The back is ALMOST perfect just need to do some small imperfections -
You can just about make out the imperfections here -
I then mark each imperfection with a marker ready to go over -
Surprisingly im actually enjoying the filler work at the moment.
And to add to this i have work experience at a car spray shop next week so this will help me alot.
To top it all off heres proof that its actually a working car with it driving under its own steam since 2005 ( 7 years ) -
And before any one askes off course i did not take it on the road as it would be illegal
Maybe a little bit

We'll I've got some excellent news
After my weeks work experience at a car spray shop I managed to get a part time job out of it
And my boss said that if I buy the paint and mask the car off he will fully paint it for me
Looks like I'm getting a pro job after all
I'm chuffed to bits.

I'm aware i haven't updated in a while but i have had no chance to work on the car as the weather had been so bad.
As it is all filler work i can not work on the car even in the slightest bit of rain.
I have managed to get some done so here it is -
After gaining more skills at work experience i am now much better at filler and can say that this panel is now ready to spray after its topper coat -
My room has now turned into a Mini warehouse. 10 points if you can name everything you see -
Managed to pick up a set of brand new Monte Carlo door cards on ebay for £50 and they are £85 new -
Shes still sitting under her cover waiting to come out when the weather lets her -
Thats it for now folks, Hope its wet your appetite a bit until i can work on her again.

Well i finally had some good weather today so i was straight out on the car.
Pictures -
It was body work non stop -
Did more fillering and sanding on the corner -
Its pretty much ready for its topper now to fill the pin holes -
I then give it a light dusting with black paint to show up imperfections -
I decided to strip the wing back to bare metal considering how many different paints it has had on it -
Then primered -
Also did more on the A panel -
Now for some bad news, I was stripping back what i thought was minor surface rust and it turned out to be this -
However it is nothing to loose sleep over and will be sorted very soon
Im sorry that the update has been very boring but i thought i should keep you all up to date on what i am up to.
Would love to hear your thoughts, Good or bad.
Great Mini build!
