Some more away-from-garage progress... on this damn intercooler. I'm getting SO CLOSE to finishing it up already after 6 months of very occasional progress.

Welded the top filler plate on....

Welds aren't Instagram-quality best ever, however they'll have to do.. there's plenty of penetration and I'm satisfied with them since I'm an engineer and not a ticketed welder haha...

Next, I wanted to add a recess/notch on the underside just to be absolutely sure that there is zero interference with the radiator.. it will also let me fine tune the height of the intercooler to get it perfectly aligned with the throttlebody...

Then do the same bending and trimming process on the underside of the tank, albeit the bends have to be tighter in order to closely hug the radiator...

Here is the bottom filler plate bent and trimmed to shape. I also added a center divider... probably not fully necessary but I like to think it helps prevent the two cores' air just smashing into each other, as well as act as a brace to tie the top and bottom filler plates together for more strength...

And fully welded up...
