here are the specs:

All the original chrome was re-plated at sherms in California.

Pinkees Rod Shop in Windsor Colorado hand fabricated the center console, inner fender panels, firewall, mounted master under the dash, installed the Ididit tilt column, Lokar shifter and brake lines. They also repaired any rust and replaced with new metal.

Underneath the car is lined with Superliner.

I am completly open to any and all idea's you guy's want to share. So please post away and give me all of your idea's and suggestions.

Car was picked up and sent down to Kenny Davis Hot Rods

here are the pics from 09-26-06

Kenny sent some pics yesterday.

looks like they are going to have to make some inner fenders

that's it for this week

Headed down to Kenny's Shop this weekend. Meet up with Kenny, Travis and Kenny Sr. to look at the progress and talk about everybody's goals for the car. Good thing we all agreed on the future of this project. Build or Bust Baby.

The Guy's worked the inner/inner fenders to fill the void looking through the grille.

This is the panel at the back of the wheel well.

A closer look at the panel. You can also see the panel that is going to close the void by the steering column

Once we were done looking at all the progress up on the lift. We took it off the lift so we could get a good look at the stance.

When we got home on Saturday. Kenny called me to tell me that he and already cut the exhaust off and re-routed it above the axle and out the side. These guy's are cranking.

Did I mention that my Dad couldn't have been happier with the progress of the car and the group of guy's working on it. He even said he was thinking about flying down there every weekend just to hang out.

Last weeks update - forgot to post the pics

Kenny decided it would be easier to fix the panhard bar by relocating it to a better location. It would make running the exhaust a little easier

mount on the rear end

Kenny Re-Routed the exhaust up and over the rear end instead of under the rear diff (this is how it was routed when we purchased the car)

12/11/2006

okay it's been a long time since we've done an update. So here goes

Core Support all clean

new Hood from VFN

start of the engine cover and the continuation of the core support

let's step back and take a look.

body work has begun on the donkey _ _ _k

12/18/2006

Quick Update.

looks like a bumper end with out any chrome

wait it was a bumper end - now it's attached to the center section.

were going for the smooth and clean look on the front end and i think we've nailed it.

I couldn't wait to show off the Rendering that Carter did for the 57. Carter has got to be one of the easiest guy's that i have ever worked with. He had no problem with me trying to get it just right. If you like this rendering you may want to have one done of your ride.

you can e-mail him at: [email protected]

Quick Update

Looks like the car is coming apart to get painted. I would post some pics but that Kenny Guy needs a new Camera. Looks like i am going to have to buy him a camera.

1/21/2007

2/6/2007

the chassis is back from the Powder Coater and the guy's put it all together.

A couple more pics. When you see the pics you will know that Kenny didn't take them.

the new money shot

ps - after seeing the pics i am really convinced that we need to buy Kenny a new camera.

3/15/2007

Yep i know it's shocking but i do have an update.

Funny thing is that i should have posted pics on 03-05. But i just haven't had time. So I will post this weeks update today and go back and do the last two this weekend.

We contacted Classic Instruments for the Guages for the 57. They offer a set up for the 57 and we love the layout. We wanted to do something a little different so we asked if they would change the design to the All American Series. They said "No Problem" They have got to be one of the best vendors i've worked with. I look forward to using there product on future projects.

Mounting bracket

Okay time for the Kenny Davis Roast.

okay this looks like the wiring but of course we can all figure that out.

This would be the instruction book. I am fairly certain the Kenny's dad wouldn't have to read this but Kenny probably has to.

Okay this is a tough one. With the way he's holding it. I think it may have something on it that he is afraid to get on his hands

now that's a box a very nice box.

and this is the bottom of another box. I really think he likes the locking bottom of this box. Maybe it just impressed him and he felt like he needed to take a picture.

I'm quessing this is the "Blade" that he keeps under his desk. I bet he is going to use this on me the next time i am at the shop.

and Kenny don't think your keeping that shirt I saw it in the box.

4/2/2007

It's getting closer.

Okay from the looks of it Tracy is a little better then Kenny with the camera.

the grille needed to be extended since we reworked the front bumber.

10/23/2007

I can't tell you how happy My Dad & I are with Kenny & Travis. They did an awesome job on the car and Sr is looking forward to driving it. The bad news is when it get back to Chicago the weather is going to stink so it will go in storage for the winter.

We do plan to show it at the Chicago Chevy Vette Show on Nov 17 & 18 and in Detroit on March 7th & 8th if anyone wants to see the car in person.

Couple Quicks Pics
