Well, I had to do something with the inner door handles. I took them off n taped off the chrome handle, sandblasted them. Painted with the interior black dye, then used the silver paint marker to do the edges. Also did my cowl tag while I was at it, that is gloss black.

Got my gauge cluster back from 77RS(Daniel)today. Daniel did a top notch job repairing my cluster. Got it installed and everything works like new.

I want to thank Daniel at gaugemarks.com for great work and fast turnaround. Daniel can be emailed at [email protected] to find out about getting your cluster restored to factory original.
Here are a few pics of my restored cluster.
Install pics commin up next.

Nothing to serious tonight, just hanging out in the garage having a few beers getting the dashboard all buttoned up. Got the end vents cleaned up n put in.

Thanks guys, that was fun   I think my brother-in-law had more fun holding the camera lol

No rock chips in the paint, just a few on the front corner of the bumper. That will be an easy touchup.

I was alitle bit busy to try n hit 2nd gear lol

Ended up using mineral spirits to get the rubber off.

I posted this in the transmission n driveline forum, anyone got any opinions on this?

After doing about a 3000rpm launch to do a burn out video today my buddy Bob noticed gear lube leaking from 2 weld holes on the center section for the axle tubes, left n right of the center section. On further inspection, it looks like the paint where the axle tubes met the center section is not solid in spots anymore. Could this be an early warning sign of spinning the center section on the axle tubes?
Drive train specs.........................
355 sbc, Manley flat top pistons, 6" steel rods, .485 lift cam, vortec cast heads, air gap intake, eddy 600 carb.
Stock saginaw 4spd
373 posi gear.
Engine was pro built by a circle track engine builder. He is very secretive about his cams, all I know is .485 lift. She revs really quick and is very strong. He said with a 4bbl intake n carb, about 450 to 475 hp.
With any more lauches like this, do ya think she has enough power to twist the center section on the axle tubes?
Thanks
Guy
