Got the door panels out of the attic. I can't believe the great condition these were in when I bought the car. I forgot the top panel installs first so I need to go to the junk yard to get the door locks all squared away.

Got the top n rear pieces in the door window opening. Not sure if this a problem or not but I had to move the top pieces back not even a 1/4" Windows still close without hitting so we will see when I can get weatherstripping.

Tomorrow 9am I am having Catoract surgery on my right eye. Debbie says at least 2 days before I go anywhere near the garage, but we will see what the Doc says about that lol.

WE Did manage to get a few things done today. First I got the windshield stoppers on. Then me AND Debbie managed to get the rear window in with the molding sanded, primed and painted trim black.

One step close to that first ever drive

Nothin to crazy today lol
Got the door arm rest supports blasted painted and put back on the doors. Also gonna break out the new heat gun and play with the warpage on the dashboard I got off Ebay a couple years ago.
Also ordered a speedo cable grommet and dashboard clips to the cowl from NPD, that stuff should be here Wednesday

Heres where I am at so far. Don't have any kind of clamps to keet it in place after heating it, so I started on the end heated alittle then duct tape to hold it. Gotta let it cool n see how it looks after I take off the tape.

Looks like I am pretty much on the right track. When ya heat the inside it becomes like a foam rubber and ya can bend it where ya want it. Alittle more on the end, then the middle.
Gotta take a ride and meet 71camaro(Mike) to give him the air cleaner he bought from me. More to come latter.

Well, all I can say is I guess it looks better then it did. Gonna wait till I get the clips Wednesday, get it in place n go from there. I think this is one of those times where I try to make something just alittle better and end up makin it worse
Time to have a beer n relax

With all the weight I put on the back on her, I was able to hook up the rear sway bay. Which reminds me, I still gotta paint n put the front sway bar on   but gotta get the mounting stuff first.

Got the door locks done n on. Not sure how far I'll get, but will start on the passanger side door panel next.

Got the top door panel piece dyed and ready to go on. I think I'm gonna wait for pics till after all 3 pieces are on. Prolly tomorrow.

Got the middle piece dyed and put on.

OK..............only 1 pic of the door till tomorrow lol

7-21-2009

Got the bottom piece dyed and ready to go. Also....................got another problem   I have 2 different inside door handles. One chrome n one not!!!

Got the right door panels done, except for that ^$%# (*&@ handle!

The big brown truck showed up with the dashboard clips, so I got alittle sidetracked lol
Had to at least get the dash mocked up to see how it is.................I do gotta say it is better then I thought it would be! Hopefully tomorrow I'll try n close up that gap from the center to the right side and go from there.

Since I figure the dash is gonna take me awhile, I got the driver door panel done n outta the way.

Got the rest of the right side bottom of the dash mocked up. That brought the top gap closer. I'm thinking where it's at now, I pretty much gotta live with. I think it looks pretty good. The piece under the steering wheel and to the left is up in the attic, I'll get that down tomorrow.

EDIT: Just looked back at post #4490 and the gap is now awhole lot better
