Finally got the front cable installed after 2 trips to Ace Hardware. The first 9/16-18 nut I grabed must have been in the wrong bin   so I brought the cable with me the 2nd time.
Waiting for the rest of the painted parts to dry.

Just painted the black so it will be awhile before I can handle that piece.

Waaaaaa Hoooooooooo E-brake is DONE!!!!!!!!!
Was kinda hard to get pics under the car but I did my best lol

Ya know what the scary part is.......................IT WORKS

Maybe I should play with the brake pedal rod next, if I can get it outta the booster lol

On that note........."ITS MILLER TIME"

Got the rod outta the booster, shortened it allmost 2'" and ground the end to match the master.
Now I gotta come up with some kind of bracket to weld to the brake pedal the prevent the rod comming out of the master if the pedal comes up faster then the master.

Here is the bracket I made up to make sure the rod NEVER falls out of the master. I also had to move the rod up on the brake pedal so it is level with the master. The power booster and master for power brakes sit at an angle to the pedal, the rod must sit level with the master for the bracket to work.

Hopefully get this finished up tomorrow.

Got the prop valve all cleaned up n painted. Not sure if it will dry enough to install tonight.

24 comes on in an hour, so that might be about it for today.

Well after 24, I had to get the prop valve at least mounted lol

Got all the brake lines on accept for the one I have to replace I bent. Rear is done. I odered the front hoses, banjo bolts n washers today. Gotta wait to finish the fronts to know where to weld the brackets for lines to hose. (thanks Tommy AKA 67Lemanster)
I think I have some brackets to mount the lines to the frame but if not I'll have to some of those too.

Got the brackets welded on for the front brake hoses. I know I said I was gonna wait till I got the hoses but there may be a chance the engine n trans will be in place before I get the hoses. I did not wanna take a chance welding close to the ceramic coated headers.

TGIF!!!!!
ITS MILLER TIME!!!
But anyway lol, gotta do something whille I wait for parts. Got the center dash brace done last night. Gonna do the other 2 and the rear liscense plate bracket.
Maybe tomorrow I'll tackle the gas tank.

All blasted n primed waiting to dry for the gloss black.

Painted n ready to install.
Maybe I am easily amused(lol) but it still amazes me when ya take something that looks like chit, put it in the blasting cabinet, prime it then throw on some gloss black n it looks like(better then)new.

Just got back from the boneyard. I just couldn't see spending $35 plus shgipping on brake line clips. I got all these for $4.35 plus $4 for me n the wife to get in. Sandblast n paint, they'll look like new

Gotta do some yard work, so I'll be back latter with some done pics of the finished clips.

All blasted n primed. The clips that were for 2 lines, I just used the cuttoff wheek and make them for one line.

Maybe while I am waiting for these to dry, I'll start to wire wheel the gas tank.

More to come latter.

Painted n ready to go when dry
I went with the hammered grey so ya can see them on the frame n SFC's.

Brake line clips came out great   and saved about 30 bux in the process.

Now back to the gas tank.

Heres a few pics of before n after the wire wheel. Gonna solder a piece on to close that snall hole then start painting hammered silver. I got the brush on paint this time to see how it works. Says it covers alot more then the spray cans, so that would make it cheaper too

Got a piece of sheet metal cut n soldered in place. Shouls be all good to start painting.

Well............for the first time putting on hammered silver with a brush, I guess it came out ok. I did the top first for a reason, practice lol
Tomorrow get it flipped over n do the bottom. Then the straps gloss black, and hopefully it will dry enough to install.
