Got the firewall all stripped. Gotta weld up a hole someone put in there then get it ready for primer
Gotta decide what I am going to do with the lip around the heater box and blower motor, maybe cut it off or pound flat? Gonna smooth 1/2 the firewall and the lips are in the way lol

Got the firewall all primed
Ya can see in the last pic that I got my first couple of runs, but all in all still a good day
I'll get some better pics after I take off the paper and get the car moved to where I want it, prolly in the morning .
Did I forget to say.................IT'S MILLER TIME
Ok so I lied LOL I got her moved to her new spot. I moved her for 2 reasons.
1. I was hoping to get my silverado in the garage to fix a rust hole in the bottom of the drivers door, but that aint gonna happen lol
2. To have access to the attic, that is where all the parts are to put her back together lol and take the rotisserie apart n put it up there.

Don't have any dollars for the plate to smooth the firewall for a couple paydays so I figure I'll start on the subframe.
The core support holes are good. The center 2 holes look like they were welded at one time, it will be interesting to get those apart, and the rear 2 will need the kit to weld in new peices.
I've got a bunch of hole saws so I might try n make the repair pieces when I get some 16ga metal. Edit I will be using 1/8" not 16ga as stated.
Well if this anit to cool, I dont know what is. Got out a big chisel and a BFH and started poundin on the center 2 bushings and guess what??????????? They fell right out What looked like a weld was just rust build up around the bushing. Now all I gotta fix is the rear 2
Gotta get luck sometimes.........right? LOL
Check this out, I just made these to fix the 2 rear subframe holes. NPD sells these for $14 plus $10 shipping. These cost me $0.
Found some 1/8" scrap then drilled the 2 1/2" outside diameter, drilled 2 holes to mount to a 2X4, then drilled the 1 1/2" inside diameter.
Got one side done. Gonna get some dinner then see what happens after that.
Got the other side done too, so that completes that lol

Ya Ya I know, I'm an animal LMAO but anyway I started stripping the subframe. I knew this would be hard as it has a THICK coat of undercoating. To thick for the wire wheel so I am using the torch and scrapper then the wire wheel then 60 grit roloc. Slow going but I did get some done, thats what counts
