Well I wanted to get this done yesterday but mother nature had other plans for me as in snow.
So I got it done today Got the rear tail panel all sanded and ready for primer. Will prolly aslo do the cowl too tomorrow, no sence cleaning the gun 100 times LOL

Heres what I got done after about 1 1/2 hr of sanding. Don't know what they put on here but OMG!!!

Ok thats it for today. Hopefuly tomorrow get the cowl and rear tail panel primed   after alittle more cleanup work on the cowl.

Here are some pics of the rear tail panel n cowl all primed  
I think I am getting used to this painting thing lol.

Both came out great, especialy the cowl. I even filled the front where the cowl metal meets the firewall. I was gonna get a new cowl but now I am glad I did'nt spend the money on one.

Thats it for today.

Figured I would start to strip the firewall. It was going good till I got on top of the heater box hole, the rest of the firewall is covered in that same black CHIT my frame rails were. I got out the propane torch and scrapper, did alittle then said "thats it for today"

Ok here is what iI am dealing with, I figure it must be some kind of rust proofing??? Maybe someone at one time painted gloss black over it. The wire wheel takes it off to the black factory paint.

Well I wanted to fnish this tonight but I wore the wire wheel done to nothing lol Will get a couple more tomorrow morning.
