Got the frame connectors in place and ready to start welding. I decided to do it like this to make it easier. I am pretty confident the tape measure says the subframe will fit.
I love markin stuff of the "things to do before she comes off the rotisserie" list. Frame connectors DONE

Well I was looking the car over and figured I might as well get the lip inside the trunk opening for the weather strip done. I saved 2 pieces off the old rear finish panel.
Hopefully more to come tomorrow

Got the weahterstrip lip for trunk done...........I think?
The only problem is, I do not rememeber how much the weahterstrip covers up? Not sure if it is good or do I need to do more?
P.S. I keep forgeting to fill those 6 little holes in the first pic lol

Well not that I got bored with grinding but after 2 nights I need to give my arms a rest for a day or so.
My daughter came up with the idea why don't I fill the gaps from the rockers to the quaters? It will make it look cleaner which I like but my first reaction was.............your making more body work for me why? LOL
But then I thought about it and like the idea, so I'll be playing with that tomorrow. But first gotta get the leaves in the front yard taken care of.
I'll get some more pics up tomorrow when I get a coat of filler on.

Thanks for the heads up on welding that seam first and your welcome on the emblem
Here is a couple pics of the one side welded and ground down.
Got both sides ready for some filler
Ok.................here are some pics after the first coat of filler. I put some primer on just to get an idea of how it will look
I'm thinkin it is looking pretty good so far
What do you guys think?
Amazing Job! Really saved this car from rusting away!
