Waaaaaaaaaaaaa Hooooooooooooo

Well got the rear floor pan done.
Grinding and paint tomorrow.

I think that COMPLETES the major work on the shell
Just got some clean up work and grinding to do.

Then find some $ for frame connectors..................and she will be on the floor

Guess I should find something to do while I wait for frame connector $$$. LOL
Someone at one time cut 2 huge holes for speakers in the package shelf tray(I gues ya call it). Both speaker holes are the same but I accidently deleted the other one :whine:
I cut that whole piece out of the 79 I parted out last year. Might as well get that fixed while its on the rotisserie, should be easier. Also while the piece is out, will be much easier to clean up the front of the trunk floor.

OMG....................I think I have found the worst part of my build so far. Finishing the front of the trunk floor  :whine:
Thank god I cut out part of the package tray, that made it much easier to get at. Then I find out all the plug welds ya see in the pics did not stick on the metal under them I tried to reach in from the trunk and plug weld but that was not a good idea, so I will weld the seam all the way across the front.
Grinding...............we don't even want to talk about grinding the welding I'm doing there.
Only got about 1/2 the front welded today as I had to work, but I will take the 8 hrs OT
Hopefully get more done on her tomorrow

Worked on the pieces that go under the tail lights last night.
I did not like the factory studs that mount to the quarter panel with those stupid things called speed nuts. Speed have there place but not here.
I cut off the studs and drilled a 1/4" hole and welded a 1/4" stud in, will mount with a 1/4" washer and a nylon lock nut. Will get pics latter of them installed.
Also kinda forgot about fixing that whole for the filler piece tail panel to quarter being rotted on the bottom, gotta finish that first lol

Ok Mark.................Now ya got me thinkin(thats a scary thought) That would look cleaner if I were to weld those seams, then grind flat and a skin coat of spot putty.

Looks much better without the seams
Thanks Mark
