Alright, I’m working on moving onto laying down @soundshield in the back section of #camilathe68cougar to start. Here’s a few shots of the back seat area with the trunk separator wall (highly recommend) and the mini tubs just peaking up front. So once again always make sure to clean the surface to maximize adhesion. I used left over scrap paper from the headliner to start cutting a template to make sure we have a proper fit before cutting. Measure twice as you want to obviously lessen the waste of cutting your @soundshield deadener. Stay tuned as work on completing these sections. Big shout out to @tci_engineering coming in to save the day! I was installing my manual rack and pinion when one of the bolts that goes into the cross member screwed up the threads. After a few runs to the local hardware store I came back without any luck. I reached out to Jason @tci_engineering and his team and without hesitation they mailed me another set and it arrived yesterday! Here’s another install update in the back seat area of #camilathe68cougar with my build partner @soundshield. Rear pillars, quarter window area, rear seat floor, front wheel tub and trunk divider are now complete! How does it look? I have some progress in the front with @soundshield. I have this section and part of the firewall done. I need to add a little in the underside of the cowl. The column area will wait until I start assembling that area. the bare floor is next and doors. As I am awaiting another shipment of @soundshield to wrap up the sound deadening, I took apart the @heidtssuspensions IRS to prepare for color. Man, I’m so happy I went this route out back, the rear independent suspension is just so slick looking along with the other IRS options out there. Happy Sunday to all! So I’m jumping around a little to take a little time off from sound deadening (almost finished, awaiting for more product) with @soundshieldhere is the color scheme for the rear suspension. The colors on the @heidtssuspensions IRS will tie back into the front @tci_engineering color scheme of Bengal Red with black combo. The bengal red will also tie into the 6 point cage so it all comes together with red and black combination against the @fordperformance Avalanche Grey paint job. To make things easier to the powder coating shop, I pre-labeled all parts with exact colors (satin black and Bengal Red) to eliminate F*#€ ups ?. I also asked the shop to remove all bushings prior to coating.
