The first picture is to illustrate the welds as they were from the shop. I ended up grading them down to smooth them out more at each point where there were welded together a bit and the following pictures are the smooth now, tons of sanding and blocking later and the cage is ready for paint this weekend. I wish I would have stopped and took a few pics of everything with black primer before blocking. ?I seriously cannot wait to see this part completed this is that extra touch I always wanted in a car build. We did a little work on Saturday to begin sanding/prepping the roof...The joys of some of these professional shops... what the F does blasting down to metal even mean to these shops? Lol maybe the guy thought he’d leave Cheetah prints of the original and old paint? ? just a tip always tell the shop you want to inspect the blast job before they seal it with primer no one is pickier than the person paying for the job. #protouring#mercurycougarxr7 #hotrod#classiccougar #68mercurycougar#ford #mercury #racecar #fastback
