I made a custom bracket to move the shifter back and angled it 20 deg toward the rear. It feels much better.there is no reason to go with a shorter shifter at this point. The factory boot and ring will have to be mounted further to the rear.

I made a adjustable stop for the clutch pedal. If the hydraulic brake master cylinder bottoms out ,it could damage the unit. Other items was mocking the gas pedal by reversing the studs on the firewall and throttle cable for the fuel injection.I welded in some 1 inch condit from inner fender to the radiator support so I can hide most of the wires .Instead of having them show in the engine compartment.
