2002-2003 LANCER OZ RALLY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. 1. Take off shift knob by unscrewing it counterclockwise.
2. Open center arm rest console. Remove two screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Once the two screws have been removed, gently pull the whole compartment upward and put it aside.
3. Remove ash front tray by pulling upwards. Remove one screw located under it.
4. Remove two screws locaed next to e-brake. After you have removed the screws, gently lift up on the shift assembly.
Replace with new shift boot and re-install everything (reverse previous steps).
5. Once you lift the shift assembly, you must remved four screws to remove the shift boot.
6. Once you remove the old shift boot, install the genuine leather RedLine shift boot by plaing it into the plastic ring. Place all the assemblies and screws back into the vehicle.
CONGRATULATIONS - YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED YOUR NEW LEATHER BOOTS!
Useful tip
You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking.
