Hi all,
More progress.
I have made brackets for the vacuum pump and alternator. The only concern I have is the belt contact on the alternator. I can run a second belt from the crank pulley to the alternator pulley if it becomes an issue.
Here is the CAD(cardboard aided design) template I started with. The alloy round bar is for the spacers. And I used 6mm alloy flat bar.
Sort of jumped the gun with photos. Here is the finished product. The adjuster is a sbc one I bought and cut all the crap off it.
This spacer connects to the adjuster. I made it an interference fit which seems to have worked great.
I also have the -12 welded to the rocker cover and a breather welded into the other for the vacuum pump. I will take some pics and post.
We are looking at Dyno time in the next week or two. They havent finished installing the dyno yet.
Cheers
Nice pics!
