The engine compartment is painted and work has started on the interior. We hope to have it painted tomorrow. The exterior could be painted by the end of next week.

Here is a snapshot of the radiator cover/ air intake with the prancing moose jewelry. The engine bay has a matte finish by the exterior will have full gloss.

Here is a video of the paint in the sun.

Thanks guys. For the first time in a long while I feel real progress is being made. The sanding phase was very long, unsatisfying and expensive but is where the end result of the car will stand out.

The windshield does have a little give but my guy did do some mud work to perfect the gaps and make them consistent around both the front and rear glass. I am glad I was at the stage I was at and not trying to make the change to a completed car. The fit would not be nearly as good.

The modifications were more of a skim coat than piling on filler and did not need any metal work to adjust the car. It was not as bad as I originally thought it would be. Far more time was spent perfecting the gaps on the doors than the glass.

This week is going to be fun for me. The interior should be painted today and with a little luck the exterior could be done by the end of the week.

The interior is painted and the black accents inside the taillight housing are now black. Wet sanding the body starts tomorrow and it will be painted next week. I can’t wait to see the car painted and assembled. That will be a milestone.
