The front tow hook is now on the car. We had to add a small extension to the front of the frame rail and trim a piece of the grill. You really can’t see the grill modification unless you are really low.

We have also done some reinforcement to the hood. These cars have a huge amount of flex in the hood and now that is gone. No pictures of that, but I will show some later as the cold air intake is fabricated.

Thanks. The real improvements to the hood are at the hinge. There is so much flex in my hood we had to do something. We ended up reinforcing all of the hinge panel on the hood the full width and up the sides. We added more metal to the frame structure and even permanently mounted the shims by welding them to the hood. The hood doesn't flex now!

I also had to change my radiator. We moved the fill location to the top center of the radiator and the top hose to the center as well. I was having a hard time figuring out how to get enough filter on the engine so that it would not choke it. We devised a plan that uses panel filters and inlet from the hood scoop. The filters will wrap around the radiator cap then merge as they approach the intake. It should look really cool when it is done but more importantly be effective. More to come on that one...……..
