Got my downpipe back from NitroPlate.
They did a good job as usual and I can't recommend them enough. $40 is what it cost me.
Not gonna make any excuses for not cleaning up the welds and making it nice before dropping it off.
I was just sick of touching the damned thing by the time I got done making it fit.

I meant to take some pics before I left for work this morning but I was running late. They would have been boring anyway I guess.
Last evening I got the harness all spread out and started working it out.
Thanks to the good work by steaksawz in his ABA thread coupled with all the amazing effort and info at http://www.a2resource.com/ I now have all the important stuff labeled on the harness and ready to go in car and a few definite deletions taken care of. With those two resources and a bit from the Bentley its looking like the wiring will be cake. Im sure they'll be some snags along the way but its pretty straightforward thanks to great sources of information.
Now that i have all the fittings, hoses, etc for the fuel pump I can hang it and get it attached. Then wiring, install axle that steaksawz is doing and I should be sitting pretty within a short time.
Terry has an exhaust flange getting ready for me too so I can attach my exhaust via 3 bolt flange to the shiny downpipe.
Thanks Terry. http://www.oldskoolvw.com/
Post needs a pic so Im reposting one that's too yellow I took in the summer.
