A few people have been asking me for pics of the rod linkage set up I'll be running on the o2a.
I have most of mine installed at this point but no pics. I need to take it all off and paint some the VW parts involved.
I'm at work right now waiting for my next class to start so thought I'd upload some of the pics the designer of the set up sent me.
If you think you're interested in one you can score it at his website below. The guy is Claus Von Essen and has been more than helpful along the way. When half the linkage got lost on its way from Germany, he sent replacements no problem. Been real helpful but shipping times have sucked.
The stuff is super rigid stainless stahl and real pretty.
Check out his site for a lot of mk1 stuff shippable to the USA.

Got my rod linkage in and done. And basically have my radiator finalized.
What's left to do...
Wiring, mount fuel pump and filter, put the downpipe on when it gets back from being plating, do a burn out.
Quite a few other detail things that I probably haven't thought of...like adding fluids and throwing on a few more coolant hoses, put the fans in. Mostly quick things I think. Oh, my axle is being shortened I assume any time now so waiting on that too.
Really not a lot left it seems. Hopefully all goes well on the fire up.
There will be various videos.
rod linkage all buttoned up.
A shot showing the radiator fitment. I went with the corrado radiator. Would have loved a custom one but it turned out ok. Running two 9" ebay slim fans on the front side. Theyre not on the car yet either.
How its sitting now. About the same from this angle as before I guess except for the filter.
