I have a item called the little yellow box from Australia similar to the speedo healer where i can calibrate the KMH to actually show MPH....theres also a guy in England who can reprogram the cluster to allow the switch to work but it isnt that big of a deal to me...

Haha yeah i had shims from 2 heads so i ended up pretty good except for 2 sizes which i know what size i needed so ordered from japan...u could always buy all big sizes and trim them down..

Chi town no update except will be done by July 1..had to sleeve the block due to the damage from that valve...then replacing everything and getting everything coated again took a minute...will update when its done

Yeah mines were the only pair ive ever seen except for urs now...just chatted with booney the other day he was telling me about the demise of that car, i built it when i was there in 97...heard oki is alot different now then back in those days...greatest time of my life!

Chi town- that nikasil is a fairly new coating with no real comparison data to show if its benificial or not but i have hear that any defect in the layers from wear and tear can cause it to chip and flake off which will end up destroying your engine...dont know about you but i dont have the funds to rebuild an engine continuously. My rings are DLC coated and my piston skirts have the swain tech anti friction coating on them so there should be significant wear on the cylinders..also my block was bored and honed at operating temp so that the cylinders are true during operation..alot of shop dont do that so when cold the cylinders are true but are not completely straight at operating temp causing significant wear. Coatings are hit or miss, some work some dont, kind of trial and error..i have a mixture on my setup..buckets, piston pins and rings DLC coated, cams WPC treated with a moly coating, bearings all swain-tech dry film, toda oil pump bearing swaintech dry film as well..does it all work who knows but should reduce friction a bunch which is the main cause of power loss

Yeah when i left in 99 i sold it to a high school kid named Nef ..his dad was a Marine there he is on this forum also think his name is Asa or aja drifter...from there dont know where it went or who had it heard fat daddy drove it to the ground haha...sucks race scene is dead there...use to love Asa think thats how u spell it then heading to senega play some games and drift till the cops came then back up to Asa...booney said he was going to build another one but these cars are expensive here..u see what ive done to mines and can pretty much figure out what it cost me...my last one..clone to my oki days...with a few changes but i figure it brings me back around full circle to the days when i got serious with these cars!
